I have finally added some hair accessories to my Etsy shop! This picture was taken by my lovely sister Kukka and the model is talented singer Selja Sini. Thank you for both! From now on, I will add more hair accessories to my shop and hopefully start adding other accessories as well.

From Tibidabo, Barcelona.

Barcelona….How I love that city! It has everything. Big city, beach, views, sun, good food, culture….

We just came back from Barcelona few days ago. It was a lovely holiday. Lots of walking and eating really good food. I love how Barcelona has so many small and unique cafes, restaurants and shops . If you haven’t been to Barcelona yet, start planning going there!

Pictures by Kukka Friström

My brother got married to a beautiful Amanda last November. The reception took place in lovely ranch (or at least I think it was called ranch) and the newlywed couple was of course gorgeous. Why I wanted to post these pictures is well my dear sister Kukka took this beautiful pictures and I made Amanda’s hair piece. And I think these pictures have really soft and dreamy look. Love them! If you want to see more of Kukka’s pictures, go to her home pages.

I’ve been dreaming of a stamp. Stamp that would have HazyLace logo. Which I could use on the hangtags that I put on my products. I want the stamp to be made of wood and surprise surprise, have a vintage look. I’ve been looking on the internet. Probably not hard enough, cause I haven’t yet found a good place to order the stamp from. Just have to keep looking…

Emily and The Woods – Never Play

I’ve been lacking of inspiration lately. For a quite some time now actually. Working all day long in a basic boring office building is definitely not an inspirational surrounding for anyone. Especially for me. That is is why I should create even just a small inspirational space (in our “huge” studio apartment) for myself, where I would get excited every time I start sewing. New ideas would just pop into my head and I would feel like nothing could stop me from reaching my dreams. That is why I gathered these pictures together, to give myself and perhaps you, a boost to get you inspirational. (All the pictures are from Pinterest.)

I have finally sold my first handmade garter from my Etsy shop! Yay! This happened about a week ago (I think it was Monday). I got home from work in the evening and I clicked on Etsy shop just to see if something interesting had happened. I didn’t expect anything special, but hoped that somebody would have added my product to their favorite items (that’s something you can do on Etsy, create your favorite item list ). But to my surprise there was a message saying that someone had purchased my Dreamy Ivory Garter! What!? A real customer!? Really? First I couldn’t believe it. I know I know…that’s the whole point about selling. But this was the moment I had been waiting for. I finally had my first paying customer, who wanted to buy my creation!  So it was for a moment, a bizarre but amazing feeling. Took me awhile to believe it. Quite a long actually. Ask my husband. lol. Of course I have made garters, clothes, etc. for others, but never have I had a paying customer before. I just haven’t wanted to ask money for things that I have made for people that know, even though I could have and probably should have…. Anyway. This is the real start for my dream. I just have to start pursuing it.

There isn’t that many products on my Etsy shop yet, but there will be. I have quite many garters almost ready to be added to my shop and I also want to start selling other accessories that I have made. So if you want to know what happens in the future and what new products I have made, come back and I’ll keep you updated. Unfortunately I have my day job (to pay the bills like everyone else) and other million things that I have to take care of as well…. yoga, cleaning, cooking, keeping up with my friends and family, going to grocery….and of course spending time with my lovely husband. But I will do my best to go forward and remember to update this blot.  Slowly but surely.

Richard Walters – True love will find you in the end.

I just felt like adding this today. Lovely song. Gives hope for everybody ;) No pictures today though. I need to take more pictures, but it has (once again) started to get darker and darker everyday, now that we’re going towards winter. So after I get home from work, there isn’t that much time to take the pictures, before it gets dark. Yes, lovely thing about Finland.  But hopefully I’ll get the chance to take pictures next weekend. I need natural light, to give the perfect soft feeling.

I finally did it! I have now listed two items on Etsy! There will be more. Don’t worry ;)

Check out my shop on Etsy!

My plan for this weekend was to take some pictures of my sewings so that I can finally put at least some of them on Etsy. I haven’t put anything there yet though, but I’m going to. So if you want to buy some of my “creations”,  hopefully you will find them soon on my Etsy shop. The name of my shop, is of course HazyLace.

When I started to take some photos, I realized that I have already made some quite good selection of garters (as you can see above) and I haven’t sold any of them yet! So I need to start doing something about it! I don’t need so many just for myself. So, people. If your getting married or just want to buy a beautiful garter, contact me or go to Etsy to see more. They are all unique, no one will have the same kind ;) AND garters won’t be the only thing I make. Just wait, there’s more coming!
